When I first started this sculpture, I drew/ wrote out
everything I wanted to do to it. It took
me forever to get a good idea, and that would actually mean something to me,
but I did eventually get it. It is California themed because I was born there.
The process: I started out with a gold, sequined heel. Then
I gessoed it a couple of times. After that, I cut the holes in it and began
painting. After I finished painting, I covered it with acrylic gloss medium. I also
started making the palm trees, but I didn’t finish.
