Interesting blog

http://crafthaus.ning.com/profiles/blog/list?tag=sculpture
this blog is awesome because you can see a bunch of people's sculptures. Some of them are really weird, but they're awesome! c:

Getting close to being finished

So I am about finished paper mâchéing, except for the hands and feet, and I started gessoing the legs since they were dry. I'm really hoping that tomorrow I'll be finished because this was supposed to be done yesterday.

So this is my "abstract sculpture" drawing...o.o

I did write stuff on there basically just saying that that is what i think it should/ would look like from those views. So yeah... I know it sucks.
This is what my sculpture reflecting my mood would be like because my life has been full of ups and downs, and lots of twists and turns (confusion).  I should have drawn sharp edges and stuff to represent anger basically, but I decided not to.

Progress from today and yesterday

The top two pictures (I think) are from yesterday. I finished paper mâchéing the top of the skeleton. Today I turned it over and started on the back. I used a couple of containers to hold up the pelvis and spine so it wouldn't collapse on itself. Hopefully tomorrow I can finish paper mâchéing and blow dry it, then get to painting.  .-.

Close to being done paper mâchéing!

Finished up the top half of the ribs on the right side. Started paper mâchéing the pelvis. Tomorrow I'll do another layer on the pelvis then start on the legs. I may go ahead and make the hands and feet with cardboard tomorrow, also. I think it's coming along really nicely. After I do all that, I'll flip it over and do the back of it.

SORRY ABOUT THIS. Blogger has been reaaaaaally slow at my house..

This is a sculpture that I would put in the courtyard. I think it works because it is basically our "logo" kind of thing,. It is like the one in the front of the high school. I think it would be awesome if it was like 15 ft tall and just super extravagant.
This would be the food in my stomach. The things I wrote on the paper say "Life is my favorite kind of cereal." and "I am vegetarian so there's not much of anything really..." But yeah, I eat special vegetarian foods, but some are kind of pricey so I eat a lot of cereal and fruits and veggies.

These are the four glass containers that I decided to draw. The one in the back left corner is a wine glass, the one in the middle is just this jar type thing we have, beside it is a martini glass, and the one in the front is a candle holder.

More paper mâchéing..

Started paper mâchéing the left arm and finished up the top half of the ribs on that side as well. I'll finish the right side tomorrow then move down onto the pelvis and the legs. Then Ill flip it over and do the whole back side. The last thing I'll do is to ad the hands and feet and paper mâché them also.

Started paper mâchéing

I started paper mâchéing and connected the legs to the pelvis. I will make the hands and feet later. I really wanted to get started on this so that I could get this project finished on time.
